British Citizen Applications
You may be eligible if:
- You have another form of British nationality or Certificate of entitlement to Right of Abode
- You were born before 1 January 1983 to a British mother
- You were born to a British father, even if he was not married to your mother
- You were born in the UK on or after 1 January 1983
- You are under 18 and don’t fit into the other categories
- You have a connection with Gibraltar or Hong Kong
- You are stateless
- Naturalisation Applications for persons resident in UK
Right of Abode Applications
- If you have the right of abode in the UK, this means that you are entirely free from UK immigration control. You do not need to obtain the permission of an immigration officer to enter the UK, and you may live and work here without restriction.
Other Applications include:
- Long residence; upon completion of 10 years’ lawful residence
- ‘Private Life’; upon completion of 20 years’ residence
- Domestic workers in private households
- Persons with United Kingdom ancestry
